Hong Hu, male, born in May 1969, Nanjing, Jiangsu, Han nationality, joined theparty in April 1991, and joined the work in August 1991. He holds agraduate diploma and a doctorate.

He used to be the Deputy Secretary and District Chief of the Qinhuai DistrictCommittee of Nanjing City, the Secretary and District Chief of the QinhuaiDistrict Committee, the director of the Southern New Town Development andConstruction Management Committee, and the party committee secretary. In2015, he served as a party member of the Nanjing Municipal Government and theJiangsu Provincial Counterpart General Commander and Party Secretary of theFrontline Command of Lhasa, Tibet. In 2018, he also served as DeputySecretary and Executive Deputy Mayor of Lhasa, Tibet, and Deputy Mayor ofNanjing.

During his time as deputy mayor, Hong Hu was responsible for ecologicalenvironment, commerce, investment promotion, foreign affairs, foreign economy,foreign trade, foreign investment, Taiwan, modern service industry, serviceoutsourcing, development zones, and comprehensive bonded work.
